Fleet Invoicing
Project Goals
In order to collect payments payments within Fleet and provide reports that allow for accounting reconciliation admins need to first be able to create and manage invoices on customer accounts. Creating and sending invoices require information from a shipment as well as from the bill to company's "Billing Details" section so there should be validation that the information is present.

Customization:
Since we supports Air, Ocean and trucking shipments the invoice creationg needs to allow the user to pick what shipment fields they would like to include in the invoice sent to the customer.
Charges: Due to the way Fleet applies shipment charges, we wanted the user to be able to pick which charges will be part of the invoice. That way the invoice can be accurate and clear to understand. From a UX stand point, I had to make sure that the system was tracking and displaying to the user when a charge has already been invoiced.
Include Documents: The Fleet system already has become a go-to place for our users to save their shipment documents. Therefore, we wanted them to be able to easily attach a saved document to an invoice that would be sent out.

VIEWING AN INVOICE
Invoice List
User can view all their shipment invoices all in one place. From here they can view or pay their invoices. User can also filter this invoice list to see which ones are past due or based on invoice status.
Shipment Details
From the shipment details page the user can view their shipment charges. Once an invoice has been issued it will appear here. Each shipment can have multiple invoices with their status being reflected. From here the user can view, download or pay an invoice.
